The Coach's Story

Brad Jackson

Since my high school years, I’ve been heavily interested in resistance training and going to the gym. In high school, it was a way my mates and I could spend our lunch breaks improving our capabilities for the sports we played. Our gym identities became bigger as we got into our final high school years and that’s when we started researching scientifically backed training methods and nutrition advise.

I’ve played many years of competitive sport at high levels, and adding a gym and nutrition routine into my life gave me an advantage over my opponents. As I got older, I realised I wasn’t likely to make a career playing professional sport, so I turned to the next best thing; helping athletes improve their own athletic capabilities through the use of strength and conditioning.

I started studying in the USA in the field, whilst on a soccer scholarship. I soon realised I was more invested in my own gym training than my commitment to the team, so I headed back to Australia to study Exercise Science.

While I studied for my degree, I became a personal trainer and started helping others achieve their fitness goals. Throughout these years, I’ve come across one problem more than any for people starting their fitness journey: inaccurate information, over complicated programs, and lack of confidence in the gym which can lead to low motivation and inconclusive results.

So here’s my solution. Easy to understand training, backed by scientific evidence, explained to the client as simply as possible so they understand what they need to do, why they need to do it, and how they can eventually do it for themselves.
